Prepared October 4, 2026. This draft describes proposed terms and practices for the planned Level Best Learning course platform. It must be reviewed, completed, and approved before it becomes an effective policy.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Level Best Learning ("Level Best," "we," "us," or "our") provides professional development and online training for public housing and public-sector construction and project management teams. Level Best is built by SB Thomas & Associates. This policy covers personal information associated with our website, inquiries, waitlist, course enrollment, learning activities, and related communications.
Our planned online academy uses Online Course Host. Level Best determines how learner information is used for its training services, while Online Course Host processes academy information on our behalf under its applicable service and data-processing agreements. Online Course Host may separately manage information for its own business purposes. Its privacy policy explains those separate activities.
At present, the website’s contact and waitlist forms are previews and do not transmit submissions. Information you send directly by email is received by Level Best. The enrollment and learning practices below are intended for the course service when enabled.
2. Information we collect
The information involved depends on how you use the service:
- Contact and inquiry information: name, email, phone number, organization, role, industry, team size, preferences, and the content of your messages.
- Account and enrollment information: learner identity, login and account settings, selected courses, organization sponsorship, and access permissions.
- Learning information: lesson progress, assessment attempts and results, completion records, certificates, discussions, feedback, and support requests.
- Transaction information: purchases, billing contact details, invoices, payment status, and records received from checkout providers. Payment information is handled through the payment services identified at checkout; do not send full card numbers by email.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser and device characteristics, access times, pages requested, and service logs, along with cookies or similar technologies described below.
Your employer or sponsoring organization may supply enrollment details. Please do not include resident records, Social Security numbers, health information, confidential procurement records, or other sensitive project data in forms, discussions, or learning-assistant prompts.
3. How we use information
We use relevant information to answer questions, manage the waitlist, create and support accounts, administer course access, evaluate learning, issue certificates, process transactions, and communicate about your training. We also use information to troubleshoot problems, protect the service, maintain records, meet applicable obligations, and improve course content and usability.
With the appropriate permission, we may send course announcements and marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing without losing access to essential account or course notices. We will explain additional uses when information is collected if they are not covered here.
6. Retention and security
We retain information for the purposes for which it was collected, considering account status, training access, certificate verification, organization agreements, legal recordkeeping, disputes, and operational needs. Deletion requests may be subject to required retention, and backup copies may remain until the provider’s applicable backup cycle expires. This draft does not establish a fixed retention period.
We use safeguards appropriate to the information and service, supported by our providers. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
7. Your choices and privacy requests
Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, or to ask about its use. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or an appeal. Where legally required, you may use an authorized agent or lodge a complaint with the appropriate regulator.
We may need reasonable identity verification before acting on a request. Some information may need to be retained for legal or contractual reasons. We will handle requests within the periods required by applicable law. Organization-managed accounts may require coordination with the sponsoring organization. Deleting an account may remove learning access or certificate-verification information.
Use the unsubscribe option in marketing emails or email us to change marketing preferences. A request concerning Level Best academy data should be directed to Level Best, even when the academy is hosted by Online Course Host.
8. International processing and children
Level Best operates in the United States. Our providers may process information in other countries. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those safeguards must be addressed through the relevant provider agreements and legal mechanisms.
Our professional training is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not intend to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has supplied information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps.
9. Changes to this policy
Once approved, this policy may be updated as the service or its practices change. We will post the updated policy and date and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required. A change will not override rights that applicable law gives you.
